As Arupratan said, it is not so tough. You can rely on them and keep in contact over phone, they will allot rooms to you in time .... even they contacted us at the last moment when someone canceled their booking (but not enough rooms for our big group ). Just try and follow their rules.

@Arupratan, I'll be glad to post some of my Corbett photos in this nice thread after completion of your TR and if you allow.

Duronto, if it is a trip report then you could also post on the sticky thread here:
Corbett National Park Safari report

If it is tips and details to help future travellers, then another good thread is:
Corbett park made easy

It's a pain traversing all these threads with the same questions, themes and topics actually.

VIshva, those two threads are excellent, but I want to share some photos only. No TR or helping details as it was an old trip.

Anyway, thanks to you both

My Corbett NP photos

As I said earlier that being in a big group, we didn't find booking in any FRH inside JCNP. We stayed at Ramnagar, the hotel was nice - by the side of river (Koshi ?) , beautiful with clear water, flowing over small and big stones, creating tiny falls somewhere, flowing in between wide bed both side, blue hills in background with green touch of jungles .... it was a picturesque surrounding

We spend a good time on the river bed. Found few locals working there, few villagers busy in their regular work ....

The hotel had a big green lawn with river view by the side of the dinning place ... the position was really awesome.

Ramnagar has good number of hotels for travelers failed to get accommodation inside JCNP, most of them are costly and food charges are too high. Beside the road there were small eateries where we took breakfast and snacks etc.

Corbett safari

We did just one morning safari in Corbett NP that to in a canter - a big three side open bus and too noisy. We had few kids - too noisy. It was the most disliked safari I've done So Jim Corbett NP calls me often for a nice stay inside and nice safari ... I must response

Vegetarians - were all we met there. But in numbers ....

The first Elephant we saw ....

We met deer, watching us carefully ....

.... listening us to know who were we

... Some didn't care

I think these canters follow a smaller route, not too deep inside. It took us at the end of a grassland where we found lot of elephants and deer grazing ... I loved the elephant cubs of different size 9age) .... so sweet were they

Arupratan, actually we found a LOT of elephants and deer .... and actually found nothing else there.

The 2nd herd of deer is different than the first herd ... but all were in same area.

There may be repetition in elephant photos but those were in numbers .....

No more elephants

Besides so many elephants we found lot of deer and very few other elephants in that NP.

The last one is not from the NP, but within the compound of the resort we stayed. The deer in the dark of night is also outside NP, in Ramnagar road.

This pic is really awesome. i have saved this pic in my computer to view it again when i want to get close to the forest. it gives a beautiful feel of the forest and shows how dense it must be. the forest behind the elephant is really dense and gives a feeling like the trees move up on the mountains. the vast background behind the elephant makes the pic majestic.
