Corbett info

We are trying to book a 3 night trip to Corbett National Park in April. Searching the internet has given us masses of info but sometimes less is more! Does anyone have any advice on good places to stay, we would prefer to stay inside the park and want a reasonable degree of comfort but not opulence! Many Thanks

Only accommodation inside the park(where you have restaurant and room service) is at Dhikala. You need to contact CTR(Corbett Tiger Reserve) office in Ramnagar to book, and it is easy to find their number on the internet.

Other options are to stay at any of the dozens of resorts on Nainital Road between Ramnagar and Dhangadi gate, or stay at any budge hotel in Ramnagar. In such case, your will have restricted access to park, compared to staying in Dhikala.

Also note: You will need your own vehicle or have to hire a jeep if you are to stay in Dhikala. CTR does not provide any transport to Dhikala or safari rides in their vehicles.

Corbett Info

Hi I will be travelling to Jim Corbett in mid of Feb 07'.The best way to experience wild life in Corbett is stay in a Forest rest inside Jim Corbett. No private hotels are allowed inside the park and one can book forest rest houses in advance .

I will not recommend Dhikala as this has become bit overcrowded with lots of people staying there, though Gairal Forest which is 40 kms inside the park seems to be good .This is the one I have booked , can provide you with a more genuine feed back after few weeks . The list of Corbett forest resh houses can be found

cheers,

Email Guri and Geetaa and get them to organise your trip. It was absolutely amazing. A bit more than we'd originally intended to spend but worth every rupee.

Re: Jaybee's post & Joint Adventures.

I've booked with Joint Adventures for another national park but they outlined a Corbett trip that I hope to go on later in the year - which sounded really good....I've already been to Corbett but what they were offering was so different from your average tour that I just can't refuse!
