Corbett in November – worth the time and money?

We're sketching out a trip that will take us near Corbett National Park in November, just after they've opened for the season.

I understand that tigers are most likely to be seen only at the other end of the season, say in May and June.

Given that we'd like to see tiger, is there any point in our stopping at Corbett National Park in November?

Corbett in November

November is not a good time as the park is opening after the monsoons. The undergrowth will be thick - reducing visibility. Also, if you are planning to stay inside the park , the buildings and their linen will be damp. This is because the buildings and the linen would have been under lock and key for the period that the park was closed, and they are opened just when the park opens for tourists.
March / April is definitely the better period in every way - weather wise, and wildlife viewing wise.

Thank you tigerbob123 for your very specific information.

The advice about the dampness in the buildings is useful and that information, plus the poor visibility due to thick undergrowth as you mention, makes it easier to decide not to go in November.

They need to frequent waterholes.....

I was there this past January and saw three tigers. In fact, everyone I talked to while staying there had seen at least one tiger. The damp conditions in November would be enough to keep me away at that time, however.
