Booking Dhikala FRH at Corbett
Hello Everyone,
We are a couple with a 1 year old toddler wishing to visit Corbett in April 08. I have read a lot abot the Dhikala FRH on the net but am still in search of answers to the following: a) What other type of accomodation is available at Dhikala FRH apart from the bunk bed accomodation? b) How can i book the Dhikala FRH from Mumbai? Can I do a local booking in Mumbai (ITDC/Agents etc) or is sending a money order draft to the Field directors office in Ramnagar the only option? Can these be booked through the internet? c) We plan to spend 4D/3N there? Is there a restriction on the maximum number of nights we can stay at the Dhikala FRH? d) Lastly - What are my chances of finding an availability of accomodation in April if i initiate an enquiry now (in mid jan)? Thanks! |

1. Chief Wildlife Warden, Uttarakhand,
Chanderbani, Near Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun. 2. Field Director, Corbet Tiger Reserve Uttaranchal, Ramnagar (Nainital) - 244715. Tel. : 05947-251489, 251376, 251012 3. Uttaranchal Tourism, Indraprakash Building, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi - 110001 Tel. : 011-23319835 FAx your request to Ramnagar no. I am not sure, which one is the fax number, after getting their confirmation, you may need to send the money via Bank Draft. Yes a restriction of 2 nights is there. alternatively, book 2 days for Dhikala and 2 days for Sarpadauli (Its nearby Dhikala) April 08 - hmmm, fair enough chance - I guess, may be April 13-14 will be a crisis period. Good Luck and send me some Tiger Photos. Cheers. Caterpillar. |

U can book thru KMVN. They have a package deal and booking thru them is more likely to ensure accom at Dhikala.
Here's their link: http://www.kmvn.org/packageandexcurs...ettpark .aspx Altho it doesn't list Mumbai as a booking office, I'll be surprised if it's not poss (altho ronak being a Mumbaikar and Corbett-fan wud know better). Still u can call and confirm. http://www.kmvn.org/contactus.aspx Other than that, if u don't want the package deal, book early directly - Dhikala bookings are hard to come by at short notice. |
