Best wild places in WB and Orissa

Could You tell me what are the best places in WB and Or. to see animals, to get to the wilderness? Any parks, sanctuaries? Simlipal NP? Chilika Lake? Bhita K. Sanct.? Sunderbans? any others? I won't have time to see them all unfortunatelly, so which should I choose? Where would YOU go?

A much travelled friend raves about the park at Chilka lake, after 30 odd years of travel on the sub continent I trust his judgement!!

It's on my to do list for the next trip!

If I was a few eggs short of an omlette and had a good insurance policy - I'd take off on my own on a raft/hike trip throught the sunderbans - to capture those elusive man-eating tigers in action on video. At any rate, i think it would be worth a tour/excursion that you can book there.
