Bandhavgarh-Kanha in May.
My wife and I are planning a trip to Bandhavgarh-Kanha in May. I know its going to be very hot, but after reading mptourism.com website it seems that this is the best time to spot the tigers. However it seems that the packages listed on the websites are customized for foreign tourists and are a bit on the higher side.
We would be starting from Delhi. Are there any reasonably priced hotels around these places. Also which train(s) should we take for this trip. - Thanks |

May is a good option to go Kanha for big game animals wildlife bt not much of bird life.. The Sal tree will have new leaves.. mango trees will fruiting.. even if it is hot during the drives its much more cooler and better than Delhi...
In May you can easily find accomodation option at Khatia village which is just before Kisli, so prior booking is not required.. Enjoy.. |

Summer is def. the best time to visit these parks. Had been to Bandhavgarh last May & had good sightings. Stayed at Maharaja's Royal Retreat. It's a heritage property with large rooms & bathrooms. Paid Rs. 1500 for an AC room without food. For Dinner we preferred White Tiger Forest Lodge.
Suparna, Thanks for your trip report. Ronak.
