Yeah like So MANY budget hotels they rarely answer the telephone or emails. The rooms are basic and a little austere, with attached toilet, the private balconies are a nice place to sit and listen to the sounds of the jungle. The Lodge is about 150 meters from the park entrance.
It's set in it's own garden and the owner though he speaks little English is friendly enough.
He supplies bucket hot water for a shower, and tea and snacks.
I liked Tala the village next to the park gates, a friendly relaxed little place where nothing much happens we spent 6 days her no problem!

Hi guys,

Am going to be in Bandgavgarh for 3 days in November. Have tried calling both the Tiger Lodge and Kum Kum guest house without any luck. Am I likely to need to book either of these before I arrive, or could I arrange acccommodation on my arrival? If both are fully booked on arrival, are there any other local budget options I could try?

Thanks

Tim

hey

was the same with me..just could not get thru..think november would be a little crowded bec of diwali holidays..usually tends to be ...

i ditched the plan for the above and stayed at the white tiger forest lodge..for 2 days ...was nice n 2 days at some other cheaper hotel..which was 6 km away from the gate...n no way to commute

i suggest if u have an ok budget u might as well b at white tiger forest lodge...air cool rooms would be good in november and the cost would be 2140 for single n 2590 for Double

but this includes meals...so i think its not bad

cheers!

It is always a problem getting them to answer the phones from Mumbai too. I have been there and booked into the rooms directly on arrival but then that was in May when it is really very hot but the tigers also come out more often!!! Hope you see some tigers during your trip there.

Cheers,
Aadil.

Just to update this thread, MP Tourism now have an online booking facility which I successfully used yesterday to book my accommodation at White Tiger Forest Lodge.

You can find it at

Cheers
