yes another stupid visa ? but i need to know

Hello all,
I hope and pray safe journeys to you all,heres my ? what happen was i had to change my flight date and wanted to use everyday on my visa so i made my flight on the same day my visa expires is that ok or do i need to get a day extension.so on my visa it says it expires on march 8th 2006 and my flight is at 2:30 am march 8th 2006.if some can help that would be great if i need to get an extension im in delhi now.

You can try the state headquarters of the FRO for an extension. I know of several that were turned down but no one has reported success. Use your charm. I think it is a 30$ fine per day if you overstay. . But, don't come back at me if they put in Tihar with all the other "honored guests"..

When exactly is your visa due to expire? If it doesn't expire until midnight on the 8th March then you're fine.

If you have any doubts, then get in touch with the FRO in Delhi and see what they have to say. You are obviously not trying to overstay your visa so I'm sure they will help you out on this if you find you need an extension. Some years ago we had a problem with a flight out and they gave us a visa extension.

Yes please do what Alan has suggested. Remember over staying is an offence which can be considered serious. These days they are very fussy at the FRO in Delhi. Be very patient & explain the situation carefully.

thats my ? if it expires on midnight it just says on my passport march 8th

.. My guess would be that if it expires on the 8th, that should mean INCLUSIVE OF, so 2.30am should be OK .. However if it's 2.30am on the 9th, then we're getting very technical - If you checked in at 11.59pm on the 8th, is that exit time, no man's land, duty free land or be very nice to immigation time ?

I leave dehli on march 20th at 8.30pm.visa expire march 20th.I am assumeing everything is fine.Have you flound out any info to the contrary?
