Work Visa
Is a work visa easily transferable? Ie. can I move jobs once I get there?
...or are the visa's generic and not attached to one specific employer? |

Employment visas are sponsored by a single employer. There is no generic work visa. If you change jobs, your new employer will have to sponsor you.

Would I have to fly back to the US or can it be done locally in India?

This is not done locally as a rule (including adjoining countries). You will need to fly back to your country of origin.
