when where and how???
Hi i'm going to India in january for 4 months from england and am getting really confused as to what to do about getting my visa.
i'm not sure if i've understood this right or not but do i have to go to london and personally hand my forms and stuff in to get the visa or can i just send away for it? also does the visa start counting down from the moment it is issued rather than when you first enter the country? i'm also going to nepal and tibet. am i right in thinking that i can get my nepal visa on the border? tibet i am really confused about! do i need to get my chinese visa here, do i have to join a group to get into tibet or are they still allowing for groups to be classed as one person? sorry about all the questions but i feel like i have looked on every single website and i'm not getting anywhere. if someone in the know could just give it to me in simple easy to understand language that would be really appreciated! |

There was this recently on the UK visa situation: http://www.indiamike.com/india/india...ervice-t41746/ , so looks like you can no longer mail it no (or not to London anyway).
The Indian visa is normally valid from date of issue yes, not from date of entry. In other words you'd want to get it as shortly before as you can (without risking not getting it at all because you're late). Depending on your length of stay, of course. Can't help you with the rest, sorry. Don't forget about good old guidebooks and travel bookstores and libraries and stuff, the web isn't everything.

also, you are right about the fact that the visa for nepal is issued when you enter the country - so no prep should be required for this. with regards to tibet, i'm afraid i can't help. a |
