Washington DC Consulate Problems

Does anyone have any good ideas for getting through to the folks at the Consulate in Washington? They called my work phone two weeks ago when I wasn't there - left a number and extension to call back in reference to my visa - now I've left like seven voicemails and two e-mails....no reply/call-back. I'm a month and a half from my flight - starting to get nervous.

Registererd letter? if you are in the DC area, then drop by, of course.

this is too funny....

i rang them up - got the consular bloke on teh phone straight away asked him about the ten year -boxed up my kit and in ten days incl weekends - visa in hand.

word to wise: dont bother w/ email -emb/consulates (all) NEVER respond.

advice: call early mornng about 30 min after consular section opens. keep calling dont expect them to cb. dont lv too many vm (annoying even though you are in your rights), just hang up. try later - when you get hold of them dont tongue lash -OH! so happy to speak with you...i am responding to your call.
