The US has the best facility for study?
Are you sure about that ?

It's that kind of zenophobic view that makes the Americans so unpopular.

Revisiting after 6 years

Hi.
I am Jennifer I am the original poster of this thread (JAP5).
I am visiting again after 6 years - I was reminded by a browser who has come to my new site (www.alaivani.com) of this thread and I am letting you know some updates on me.
- I am an American, I am not Indian as someone had mentioned.
- Though many want to come to US and it is most likely in the top destinations of foreign students, many may think that American educational institutions are superior. I don't agree with this. Many countries have super top ranked colleges that can compete with American colleges- but like anything without alot of money and media hype these places are left relatively unknown.

I am not sure what inspired me to leave the initial post. I was the first (and to my knowledge) the only American to have graduated from Madras Christian College, Chennai (Tamil Nadu). I was there 99-01. My stay in India has influenced me forever.

Currently, 6 years later now I am searching to complete more studies from India if possible through a coorespondance (distance learning) course. I want to study MA and PHD Indian History. IF anyone knows about people being able to complete this kind of degree from sitting abroad (outside of India) let me know.
