Visas?
I'm a US citizen and I'm considering moving to Mumbai. I was looking up Visas and all that, but I'm a little confused. Can you not move to India if your not of Indian origin? If I can't get an Entry Visa, then what Visa is used?

Check out the passport and visa forum. It's all in there. Some how I don't think you're going to find the answer you want....

Yes, they don't exactly welcome new people into an already crowded country. Wait a minute, that is what I told my neice about a US visa..

There is no mechanism for settling in India unless you are Indian origin, or married to a person of Indian Origin.
If you have a job offer there you may be granted an employment visa.
