Visa waiver countries for Indians
Here's a question for the Indian members of India Mike. What countries besides Nepal and Lanka can Indians visit without having to apply first for a visa? The boyfriend wants to go somewhere outside of India with me but it looks like our trip to South Africa that we've been planning isn't going to get off the ground because of his ineligibility for a visitor's visa. Damn!

ha!...visa waiver outside of those countries will never be possible in this lifetime i would think for an indian passport
...(just being a realist)..however there are some countries (and more to come..yooohooooo!!!!!) which give visa-on-arrival for the indian passport ...heres some thailand laos cambodia and check on these three...am not sure..but heard a story or two cyprus jamaica hongkong make sure you look at the docs/photos that some of them need for visa-on-arrival..also in SE Asia..you can get visa on arrival on some land/water crossings between the above countries as well but you need to have exact change in local currency and what not..anyway there is plenty in these countries websites (do a google search) of their requirments on which border crossings do these stuff.. |

Yes you are right green.
iyou why was a tourist visa denied? South Africa is very aggresively trying to tap the huge holiday travellers from India with all sorts of offers. We travel abroad in summer & never ever had a visa problem except for Romania. Romania wanted us to engage an official tour agency of Romania to qualify for a visa. Which we never do so instead went to Slovenia & Hungary. |

I think for Bhutan we don't require to have Visa. As far as the SE countries are concerned, I doubt you would be allowed if you just show up with your passport demanding an on-arrival visa (say for Thailand).
The immigration officials in India will not allow you to board the plane if you don't have an invitation, hotel booking, confirmed return tickets and some old Visa stamps on your passport (I am 100% sure you will not be allowed if its your first time abroad). Most of the SE countries will allow you a visa free entry only if you are transiting them (That is, if you are flying their flag carriers and have time between connection). Thats how I have managed to visit some of them. |

For the last two consecutive years Indians were the biggest summer spenders in Switzerland. Except from some countries Visa is no longer an issue for tourists. Only advice is start the process early.
