Visa Query Bosnia

I have a question for you and I hope I do not cause you trouble but I hope you can help me. I have a friend who is really aspiring and seeking to go to India to seriously study yoga and to live life of faith and devotion. He is in Bosnia and it is very difficult to get a visa to go to India and seek this. Could you please tell me some info about this matter? Are you in India?

A student visa is available, but it has to be for a course at a registered educational establishment, and you cannot apply for the visa until you've already paid for the course.

A life of faith and devotion can be lived anywhere. If, however he wants to live that life in India, I can think of only three basic options:

• Have Indian ancestry, grandparents at least, in which case he can apply for PIO / OCI status and live in India visa free
• Marry an Indian and apply for PIO status and live in India visa free
• Develop skills not readily available locally in India, and apply for a job in India sing those skills. He can then aquire an employment visa which will allow him to live in India while employed in that job and that job only.

As for aquiring an employment visa, if that is his route, it appears that the Indian Embassy in Hungaria is accredited for Bosnia & Herzegovina.
