Visa needed for a Dutchman

Hello,

I'm from the Netherlands and I'm planning to do some backpacking in India. I was wondering if anyone here knows which visums (or is it visa?) I need for such a trip. Any other information about backpacking in India is also more then welcome =)

Peace,

Ro

Hi there Dutchman, you can apply for a tourist (multiple-entry) visum for 6 months, costs 50 euro.

Check out if multiple entry visa costs more or not. Some countries like UK charges more.

BTW its visa and not visum, I made same mistake . Backpacking in India is easy. You will have all the facilities you need in India for rock-bottom prices (if you are from Europe). The train- and busnetwork I find very efficient. Every city has a wide variety of budget-hotels. Internetcafe's are on every corner in the larger cities. Hygiene is a problem in India though. Pay attention on what and where you eat/drink in India

Dutchman:
I'd like to tell you something I find missing on the Indian embassy website in the Hague:
When you reach the place mentioned on the website, Groot Herenglaan or some such GVB stop, turn left and reach a crossroads, opposite the 'metropolitan' or right opposite the Australian embassy there is a pond, walk in its direction, the embassy is 5 minutes away from there.

My 2 euro-cents.
