Hi
Just wanted to ask something, I was born in UK and I have two passports i.e British and Paki. I always lived in UK, my dad was born in Pak but he has got Belg nationality. Most of my relatives stay in India. In the Indian Visa form, it has asked details of other valid passport held. Do i have to write about the Paki passport because 4 month ago i lost that passport somewhere and i dont even use it.. So do i have to write about it? Is it important? And what if i dont? and How long does it take to get emergencyvisa if i apply through travel agent? Please help me out! ![]() Waiting for your reply Thanks Last edited by capt_mahajan : Jan 2nd, 2008 at 07:54. Reason: edited full colour post |

We have a member who has experience of getting an Indian visa when the member is British, but with Pak parents (I think), this member will most likely reply here within the next couple of days, but I do know that the member had hassle trying to get the visa, and I think had to wait a fe days as well.

Sorry, but being of Pakistani origin means they will probably give you a hard time.
One member here only managed to get his visa, just before his flight, because he was lucky enough to know someone with high-up contacts at HCI and strings were pulled. I met someone last week, at a family wedding, who came from Dubai. She is Pakistani, and applied for her India visa when the engagement was announced, more than six months ago. She only just got it. It's not just the passport: you could have been born in UK, Brit birth certificate, Brit passport, Brit everything --- if your name or appearance reveals you to have Pakistani origins, be prepared for a hard time and possibly a long period of time to issue the visa. Perhaps none of this will happen to you, but it is one situation in which I would recommend getting the visa before booking the flight.
