Visa from UK with US Passport
My boyfriend and myself need to get our Visa's we are flying on 29th December.
We are going to the London Commission to get our Visa's and as I understand it I will be able to get my Visa sorted in one day with my UK Passport. My boyfriend has a US passport (but lives in UK) will he also be able to get a Visa on the day or will this take longer? If you can give me any advise I would be grateful! Thanks |

NB: you have to be there before midday. People better at getting up early than I am report that it can be a quick process if you are there first thing.
You may well know already tat you can download the forms from their website and fillthem in before you go

The visa should not be a problem with a US passport. check out the indian embassy websites in the US for specific information..

Post moved to a new thread --->here. (You might want to try reposting your question in a new thread as your question has nothing to do with the original thread and your question might get overlooked.) I could be wrong, but if you are a British passport holder living in India, then shouldn't you currently already hold some kind of visa to enable you to remain in India? I'm pretty sure all British passport holders living in India need to hold some kind of visa to enable them to live there? Do you know what visa you entered India with when you where a child, and do you still have this passport? If you haven't left India on your British passport since you were a child, then you need to be very sure of your current immigration status is before you try and leave using your British passport as they might possibly decide you are there illegally if you have nothing but a blank British passport. Hopefully Im wrong or have missed something and someone else will be along with better information! Last edited by Nick-H : Sep 19th, 2008 at 02:22. |
