VISA for Pakistan/Nepal/Tibet/Burma
Hello to you all.
I'm currently up in McCloud Gang, although have lately come up with the very exciting plan of trying to get home again to good old England without going on a plane. Thought about first taking on the trundle accross Pakistan, up North, out into China (if I can do that), and maybe through the various .....stans! Should be super fun I think. The thing I want to ask you is, can I get a visa on the Indian/Pakistan border town of Amritsar, and if so, how long does it take, and cost? Or, will I have to go all the way back down to Delhi, and again, how long, and how much will it cost? I am also maybe thinking of going out either through Burma, or up into Nepal, then Tibet, out into China. If anyone knows if this would be possible, and about visa's, I would be super grateful. The main thing is to get out of India withought going on a plane! Many thanks mister pussy (my name in Hebrew.. perhaps!) |

For your Pak visa, you need to go to Delhi, get a letter of recommendation from the British embassy, and then apply at the Pak embassy. It should take around a week.
If you're heading for the 'stans', you'll need to get you Kyrygzstan visa in Delhi also, as they're not available in Pakistan, and the embassy in China is in Beijing, a big de-tour from Kashgar! Hope that helps. Conor.

Cheers..
Well many thanks, that's grand.. Slightly less grand that I can't get the Visa on the border, although at least I have some kind of vague direction in which to start the adventure!!!
