Visa for India and Nepal

We are visiting Delhi leaving 12/31/07 and returning 1/14/08. I was thinking of using a service to obtain our visas. However, we plan to go to Katmandu near to the end of our trip 1/12 and fly back to Delhi on 1/14 to return to New York. If I send our passports to the India outsourcing company for the India passport how do I then get the Visa for Nepal? Also how do I request a visa for India which will let us return from Nepal to India to resume our flight back to NY? I need to get the visas asap as we leave 12/31/07 to India. Also should I just use a service that gets the visas or use the India outsourcing company for little or no fee?

When you get your Visa for India request a "Multiple Entry" Visa, this will allow you to return to India for your return flight. You will have to obtain both visa's one after another, unless you can find a company that will do both for you.

And don't worry about Nepal. take cash dollars (or euros), some passport photos and you get you visa right at the border. No hassle at all.

All US visas for India allow multiple entry. See here: http://indiavisa.travisaoutsourcing....ular-fees?id=1

As for getting both before you go, I"m with Kingfisher. Just get the Indian visa now and get the Nepali visa at the airport. Very quick and completely painless.

Dear All

Thank you for your response to my question re visas for India and Nepal. With your help I have sent off my passports to Travisa India Outsourcing which the Indian Embassy is using in NYC. I will get a multientry visa from India and obtain the visa in Katmandu.

Happy Thanksgiving,
Devorah
