Visa--Canada--Two Indian References?

Hello,

I am starting my visa process and they ask for two indian references, well i dont really know anyone and am not planning on making reservations for a hotel until i get there,


Does anyone have suggestions or what did you do if you dont know anyone

No problem, just put some likely hotel details anyway, You don't have to have already booked a hotel, and if you change your mind about where you are staying, there is no set procedure for letting anyone that know you won't be at the address on your visa application.

It should not really apply to tourist visas anyway, but interpretation of the rules varies in different missions, and if you leave it blank you run the small risk of having the application returned as incomplete.

An LP guide does wonders for this although I stopped filling it in a couple of decades ago..

Like edwardseco, I too have stopped bothering to make up references in the aforementioned section with no problems. I used to use the Taj Hotel in Mumbai before last year's unpleasantness, the Ummayad Bhagwan in Jodhpur and Jungle Trails in Masinagudi. I suspect you could put down Raj Bhavan and nobody would notice.

As far as my understanding goes, the two Indian references are required for people of Indian origin who want to visit relatives in India. I am assuming that you are planning to apply for a tourist visa. In that case, you could simply leave it blank.
