Question Visa application form query (New Zealand)

Im a british citizen, presently in Auckland , applying for an Indian Visa.

The office is in Wellington so I have to apply by post.
There are two new questions on the form, which are not clear, does anyone know what they mean?
Q 18. Have you ever visited India before? If yes give address with dates.

Which address am I meant to give? I have been to India most winters since 2004 (on this passport) for around 2/3 months, and travelled around. There are only two lines for the reply.

Q 9. Present address.

I have been staying at my mums house in Auckland for the last month or so, but i live in England. Should I put this NZ address, or my UK address?

Also I see there isnt a question about how many entries are required on this form. Does anyone have experience of what type of visa will be given....ie; how many entries permitted.

I had a visa last November from UK, a 180 day max visa, single entry. They asked me how many entries I wanted on the form over there.
I had to leave India urgently to come to NZ to see my mum, who hasnt been well. Now Im going back, and I see they are only giving out 90 days max from here. Well, im going to ask if they might re-instate my 180 day visa that i had originally, ( i was only there 1 month)... And submit a letter outlining my circumstances. Wish me luck

basically what i want to know is,
when they ask have i been to india before, and if yes, give address.....i travelled around on 5 or 6 occasions, do they want a sample address of where i stayed,(there are only 2 lines as it is to fill in this question) or do they want the address i lived at in uk at the time?

And where they are asking me for my present address, do they want my temporary address (for a month or two at my mums in NZ, where i am now), or do they want my permanent address in uk?
I was thinking to put both, but dont want to cheese anyone off by incorrect information or have the application sent back, cos it takes 3 weeks as it is

As you guessed I don't know the answers. But I thought if I gave the thread a bump someone who knows will reply.

1. JWMarriott, Juhu India, 2. LeMeridian, Sahar, India 3. DLF IV, Gurgoan India.

(This is how one would list the addresses, notably the hotels, or substitute your locations)

2. NZ Address. You are applying in NZ, and that is where you are presently residing.

What did you vaguely fill in the address field of your Arrival form in the past ?

Just fill something and apply you will get the visa, not many will be applying from NZ anyway. I have applied for american visa in the past, I just fill in what comes to my mind first, mostly they don't even read it, if you have to get a personal interview it is mostly the discretion of the officier issuing the visa, the samething with schegen, it was easy to get it.

Thanks nycank, Deed done, form sent off. I filled in a sample address from each trip.....which was all i could do, given the space provided to write it in. I must have stayed at 200 adresses over the years, as must many others.

Iluvblr, thanks, a hopeful reply. I wouldnt normally give it a second thought really. ....its just since they've changed the goal posts , and because i love to go to India so much, I would be gutted to not get the visa.

May the force be with me. And everyone else

I got my visa from the Wellington office a couple of weeks ago. It took them only two days(!) to process, which was great.

In my application I just put down the full address of the last hotel that I stayed at (which was in Delhi), as I don't remember the other addresses (like you I had travelled about a bit).

I would put down your mum's NZ address given you are living in NZ at the moment.

Re the multiple entry - I got a year long tourist visa with multiple entry permitted. However it is endorsed with a maximum stay of 90 days, plus the minimum 2 month period between each stay. Good luck!

Just saw you had already sent it off - d'oh! Good luck anyway!

I hope it worked out for you, Jazzebell. I've just got my visa for India. Having applied for a 6 month single entry visa I received a visa which gives me a six month timeslot from the day it was issued. BUT I can only stay in India for 90 days max, then I have to leave for 2 months before going back. This seems to be standard practice for visas issued in NZ (I have an NZ passport.) People should be aware of this, because nowhere on the Indian Consulate's website does it say that you'll only get 90 days max at a time in the country. It cost me, because I'd already booked my air travel and had to pay a couple of hundred back to change my flights.
