Question Tourist Visa postal applications

Hi Guys

I need a short term tourist visa before 29 October, when I travel. I live in Cheshire, UK and don't want to go to London to sort this out. I've seen a couple of companies on websites who will sort everything out for you but obviously require you to send them your passport and documentation. Does anyone know if these companies are safe to use - I don't like the idea of sending my passport off without checking a companies authenticity and I'm not sure how to do that.

Has anyone got any experience of using one of these companies or advice.

I don't mind paying extra - it's got to be cheaper than getting the train to London anyway!

THANKS

Just do it yourself!!

If you don't want to do it in person you're going to have to trust someone to do it on your behalf!!
So save yourself a bit of money and deal directly with the Indian Embassy!!
just use registered/insured post!!
For all the details including the downloadable application form see the link I posted below!!

Indian Visa

Happy Traveling

If you do not want to go to London you could try the Consulate in Birmingham. Far safer to take your own passport there than relying on thrid parties. If you go for the postal method then do pay extra and go for Special Delivery and not the Recorded (signed for) delivery. Special is like the old Registered deliveries and they are kept seperate from normal mail unlike Recorded post.

Might be worth phoning the Visa Surgery http://www.hcilondon.net/visa/visa-surgeries.html and see what and when they can do.

Have a look here: TRAILFINDERS I've used them a couple of times with no problem. You can download a form from their site. From sending to receiving it's about 4working days, You send by recorded delivery & they send it back the same,
The service is'nt cheap at £22 but It is reliable,
Sometimes though the time & convienience outweighs the cost,,,,,,,,,,
