tourist visa for Canadians ??
The info on the Canadian site is confusing as hell for me. I just want a tourist visa. Do I pay $62 or is there a processing fee that I need to include as well? One place on the FAQ says I do, but it does not include any mention of a processing fee anywhere else.
Anybody know for sure? |

If you're not of Indian origin, you pay $62. They've farmed out their visa services, which are better explained here:
http://in.vfsglobal.ca/visa.aspx#tourist You'd think a country that's providing IT services to the world might have a half decent website, wouldn't you? But you'd be wrong.

As abracax says, you need to ignore the Indian Embassy / Consulate website; you now need to apply through VFS and their site is far clearer.

I just went through a travel agent specialising on India. They had the visa application forms at the agency. I think the charge for their service was $10 or so, and courier or mail to and from the Vancouver Consulate. However, having said this, it would be harder if you don't live in a large city.
Oh, sorry now that I look, you're in Edmonton as I am. I used the TA in Little India on 34th Ave beside the Little India restaurant. Last edited by Eastern Mind : Oct 8th, 2009 at 20:44. Reason: additional |
