Thai Visa Question

Hello!

I know this is likely not the right place to ask this question, but I have been going around in circles all across the net but have not received any answers yet. So I thought maybe some helpful soul on IM might help out.

I am an Indian citizen who is arriving in Bangkok on 6 Aug 2011. Due to time issues in obtaining a prior visa, I will be obtaining a Visa on Arrival at the BKK airport. On 8 Aug I will head out to Vietnam and then return to Bangkok on 15 Aug.

Can someone please let me know if I can get a Visa on Arrival upon my second trip as well or is there a limit on how many of these I can get within a short time span?

Thanks a lot!

I thought it was # of days in a 6 month period not the number of VOA as a limitation. However, I am not the authority on this and you are probably best advised to use a relevant regional board such as lonely planet's thorn tree Southeast Asia Mainland branch..

I have tried with Lonelyplanet and the Thaivisa boards, but haven't really got any replies. In the meantime though, I managed to find a recent question on a very similar situation for some Hungarians who were in BKK using the 15-day VOA and were able to return again with a second VOA. So it seems there is no problem! Thanks for the help.

On a British passport 30 days if you fly into Thailand (visa on arrival) 15 days if you enter overland, exactly the same for your second trip.
Not sure if its the same for Indian passport holders.
Savages, the bloody lot of them

I just thought I would update this post in case someone in the future had a similar question and stumbled upon my query.

Me and my fiancé made our SE-Asia trip and I was able to leave and re-enter Thailand at the BKK airport without problems. Upon the first entry I get a visa on arrival for 15 days. This time, we left for Vietnam after being in Thailand for 4 days. About 8 days later, we entered through BKK once again and I got another visa on arrival for 15 days without any issues.

I imagine that they start questioning your reason for having too many visa on arrival stamps only if you use the facility far too often.
