Required Docs for Registration at FRRO

Hi,

Can anyone list me out the required documents for registering (to get the residential permit) at Bangalore FRRO.i will be coming to Banglaore from an entry visa as a spouse of Indian.

The official list is here - from another site it seems that the new Bangalore FRRO take their own photos, but better have some with you in case.

Note that these lists may not be up to date.

I tried the Bangalore site first but it's off the air - so I went to the MHA site.

As your visa is 'dependent' on your being a 'spouse' you will need all your spouse's documents also, and copies of the marriage certificate.
The best advice is whatever you have 'take it' and several copies.

I'm not sure about that - those things were needed to get the visa in the first place so there is no reason why the FR[R]O would need them. The docs you definitely do need have been mentioned above.

I certainly needed them when registering with an X Entry visa (spouse) in Dec 2011 at th FRRO Pune.
I was also asked for them at the local police station, for residence confirmation.
Fortunately I had all these documents with me.
Surely, take them in case, even if B'lore turns out to be different.
