Back to your passport question Rahil. My thought is this - all passport information these days is on their computer, and everything in your lost passport is there. If you are to replace the 'lost' one you will receive exactly what was written in the one you 'lost'.
If you are to get a new one, I have no doubt they will check the computer records for your 'lost' passport and verify your details against your new application. You would need to tell them you have already had a previous passport I imagine. And if you don't, I daresy they will find it via your name and details. (I found this out when I went to get PIO card last year - I only had a photocopy of my husband's passport but that didn't matter. They found it all on computer).

Basically, he is hoping that a temporary temporary passport won't have his wife's details in, so he can get an entry visa for another woman. ![]()

Rahil - as Aishah says - a passport to replace a damaged/lost passport will have the same details as the previous one. About getting it from a neighbouring country - if you are not a resident there then they will most probably not issue you a passport. They will issue you an emergency travel document so that you can travel back to India. |

true.
i am guessing here - since that is legal, isint it possible to legally divorce your first wife without her being present ? rahil - dont take short cuts... it'll land you in big trouble. do it by the book. it'll take a tad longer - but it will get done. when you got married the second time - you should've set the divorce proceedings in motion. however, its not too late - you can begin the proceedings now. a passport is issued to a citizen [in all countries] by the respective government - in good faith. dont abuse it. :brishti |
