Queries for Passport Modification <Plz Help>

Hi All,

I want to modify following details in my passport :
(1) Deletion of ECR Stamp
(2) Inclusion of Spouse's Name
(3) Change of Address

And here are my queries :
(1) For ECR stamp, I have read that govenment is issuing new passports w/o the stamp. So should I apply for deletion of stamp or changing the other two details (2 & 3) would automatically change that as well, as the government would issue fresh passport after modification ?

(2) For inclusion of Spouse's Name, I need to provide address proof if I'm not residing at the adress in the present passport. So should I apply for change of address or passport office would automatically update my address as the the proof given ?

(3) And if I need to apply for all three services, should I fill three separate forms & fees ? Or submitting one form would do?

Find an agent that handles passport business. (try some of the bigger travels companies)

For a few hundred rupees, you will be saved heaps of queueing time and hassles. A much better route.

When I did my ECNR, I was able to do an address change also at the same time, using the same form. But that was two years back.

My passport will come up for renewal in June 2009. I was wondering if any of you good folks know how much in advance can I apply for renewal. Of course it will involve an address change and the name of my spouse has to be included. I don't think I am traveling anywhere for next few months so was thinking to get this done ASAP.

You can renew upto 1 year in advance.
