Portugal/Spain Schengen Visa Agents in Mumbai?

I plan to visit Portugal and Spain in August.Im looking for agents in Mumbai or so called "VFS" , the people who help check documentation and send in the application for Schengen visa to these respective consulates.
Any information for these agents locaated in Mumbai would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

The Consulate General of Spain is at Ador House in Rampart Row, near Rhythm House. They will only give you an application form and you will have to apply at the Embassy in New Delhi for the visa. No applications are accepted here. Or else apply through your travel agent. They will forward your application to the Embassy for you for a fee. Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Aadil.

Am not sure if they do schenzen visas but they do US and Uk visas for sure .
First of all be sure where your first point of entry is( ie spain or portugal). If it is spain then you got to apply to the spanish embassy and also provide them documentation for the next transit points !!
I do not know how it works from India but in general i can safely say that you
need the following:
1)return flights tickets paid in full
2)accomodation for all the countries u are visiting paid in full
3)charges per person per day approx 50 euros. You can show travellers cheques
4)Bankstatement proving your address and if u cant show travellers cheques then funds in that statement
5)Letter from you employer ( depends on your case)
6)for spouse u need 1,2,3 and marriage certificate.

I am going to Spain in the next couple of weeks(Costa del Sol), will write abt it !!

cheers !!

your mail is confusing !!

I dont think you can go to UK on schengen visa, u have to apply for UK visa seperately.Your first point of entry is Portugal so u have to apply to the portuguese consulate in India. Now as far as I know tourist visas wud need u to show proof of fully paid accomodation be it UK or any of the EU countries !!!

hpe this helps !

Also, if I have to apply to the Portugal visa, its mentioned on the website that I would have to visit Panjim myself to apply for the visa, which is out of the way.
Since I have no main country of visit, I would have to apply to the entry point of the Schengen countries for my Schengen visa.So that would be Portugal, hence the confusion.
Any suggestions ???

alter your plans mate if u cant go to panjim. From london go to spain rather than going to Portugal and from there go back to london.easy peasy !! That way you wud be apllying to spanish and Uk visas in mumbai itself !!!

About the things you require to get a Schengen visa is all the things mentioned above by the earlier poster but you need not visit the same country first as long as you are staying in both the countries for roughly the same time as they don't really check where you stay for how long. I have done the same thing with different Schengen countries and got visas from another country without any problem. There is the French, Belgium, Netherlands or Germany consulates from which you can also get a Schengen visa and then still go only to Spain or Portugal without any problem. No one checks because there is no stamp for the countries that you enter once you are in EU territory from where you get the first and only stamp so don't worry about that. About getting to London to get to Portugal I have done a similar thing always but then I had the UK visa (multiple entry) as well. I hope you have a visa for the UK as well unless you have a transit through London on a confirmed ticket. Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Aadil.

Also if you are not booked in any hotel then there are tourist agencies doing that for you for the flights as well as hotel bookings which book tentatively for you but charge you for the cancellation charges which they do as soon as you get your visa done!!! They do charge a lot more than the normal booking charges for the visa for this service and not all agents do it either. I have seen some agents arranging this, so I know.

Aadil.

Hi,
I came across this page with posts about schengen visa while searching for details for obtaining visa for spain from mumbai.A lot of info here thats useful, but I have a question. My husband and I are planning a honeymoon in malaga, but we ve been told that its extremely difficult to get a visa from spain! does anyone know which EU country is it easier to get a schengen visa from? Quoting Aadil,"There is the French, Belgium, Netherlands or Germany consulates from which you can also get a Schengen visa and then still go only to Spain or Portugal without any problem. No one checks because there is no stamp for the countries that you enter once you are in EU territory from where you get the first and only stamp so don't worry about that".
So i guess that takes care of the difference between port of entry and main destination, but n that cse is it better to apply for a schengen visa issued by Italy/france/germany or is is still safest to try at the Consulate of Spain ? considering that IF visa is rejected then the PP gets stamped and it becomes impossible to get visa from any other schengen nation?!?!?
thanx,
regs,
Prachi

Hi Prachi,

I don't think it should be a problem as I have taken the Schengen visa twice from Belgium but not entered from that country and never had a problem in doing so from another EU country with Schengen requirements. In Mumbai it is easier to get it from the French Consulate from what I have usually heard from many friends who have applied at different consulates in Mumbai for the Schengen visa. Hope this helps. Spain does not issue visas in Mumbai so it is not possible to get it personally without visiting Delhi or getting it done through a travel agent. The minimum requirements are to be fulfilled for all the consulates though the issue of visas may be easier in some consulates than others depending on the number of visas they handle or issue per year as well as other factors too. And sometimes you have to be plain lucky to get one!!!

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Aadil.

Smile thanx

Hi Aadil,
thanx a lot for your reply. we have spoken with a famous tour operator in mumbai to get our visas done, so we dont need to break our heads over it! he said it wont take more than 15 days and hence we should apply only a month b4 departure.and he will be getting our visas done from the consulate of spain in delhi(without us having to go there personally!)
i guess it wouldnt hurt to enquire in mumbai the way you worked it out too, just that "luck" has not always been my best pal so i guess we ll go with the tour guy for the tickets and visa!
so things r lookin positive,
thanx again,
Prachi
