PIO card and admission to heritage site
From a BBC announcement in 2007, I understand that PIO cardholders along with the citizens of SAARC countries pay only Indian fees when entering Taj Mahal and such ASI sites.
Reference : http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/7098370.stm. My question is; Has anyone really notice that a pio card holder who cannot be mistaken for an Indian citizen could pay the lower fee and enter those site. Does anybody have a link or access to an official notification about it. I have a personal interest because cI will be visiting India in Dec 2008. Rao |
