Passport Query

Hi,

My fiancee doesnt have passport. Should she apply for passport in her father name and address or in my name/address . Is their any problem in either case.? I am a S/w professional and occaisionally travels to USA on B1 visa.

Their is no surname change in our marriage (after 6 months).

Apply the passport now, and use her dad’s address.

Just to check... You are talking about an Indian passport?

There are spaces on the passport for Father's Name and for Husband's Name (or was that 'spouse' --- not sure at the moment)

If you are planning to go away straight after marriage, then she must apply as of now; she cannot put your name because you are not married yet.

If you are not planning to leave India together during the first weeks of your marriage, why not wait... you will save yourselves the extra task of getting the new address and husband's name added.

Thanks Friends...
I am talking of Indian Passport..
As you see in IT Industry nothing is sure you have to go anytime...

So should I ask her dad to go ahead and make the passport in his(dad's name and home address)?

Would I cause any problem when applying for any kind of Visa etc ?
