You should go and speak to the PSK people. They might have forgotten your application in a heap so to speak.

11/01/2013 Days completed .Your Passport has been printed and You would receive an sms/email once the passport is dispatched.

Next msg: Passport XXXXXXXX has been dispatched thru Speedpost ZZZZZZZZZ on DD/MM/YYYY. A few days from THEN.

i had applied for tatkal renewal of passport on 1/1/2013.
I received my pp on 4/1/2013.
I got a message to go to the respective police station on 8/1/2013 and finished the PV formalities.
Two days later i got a message that my PV is complete.
And from then onwards my status in PP tracking site shows,
"PV has been initiated and reqest has been sent to bangalore sp office."
Does it mean the PV report is not sent from Police office to RPO. how to track it.
What is the next step which i need to take to complete the process. Can you please let me know.

Nothing to worry or to do from your end. Lazy people not having updated their systems.
Passport not received.
I filed my application a month ago (18th December) to be precise, and my police verification was done 10 days later and the status updated to "Your passport will be dispatched once the police verification report is found clear" since then. I needed to get the passport before 10th feb, do you guys think I should be able to get it?
I am 22 yo and my father is an I.A.S allied officer but I didn't see this until recently on the passport india website:

You can't reapply, but probably modify or update the application. You need to ask at the PSK how. Actually it should become easy and quick to get the passport once you get the documents for being a Govt employee's child/dependent.

I have applied for my son's (1 year old) passport at Kolkata on 4th Dec 2012. The portal status says that the Police Verification will be done. Its been more than one and half months and the PV has not been done (at least they have not come to our house). Now I have 3 questions:
1) Is this a normal timeframe for things to move or was I expecting too much (because when I had applied for my passport around 10 years back standing in those long queues, it took a maximum of 1 month for the passport to be delivered at home)?
2) Both me and my wife have valid Indian Passports then why was PV required in the first place (why I say this is because the norm that I see here is that if the parents have valid passports then the infant's PV is exempted)
3) If you think that this delay in PV is not normal, then can anyone please let me know as to what I should do to follow it up?

I in fact looking for answers...and happened to see your concerns..These police came to my house for verification and asked to produce for school leaving certificate which I don't have right now.. anyway, in the system it says pending police verification.. Thats why I am trying to find out if any time bond they have.. I believe it has..thanks anyway

Actually, when the police come for verification, they check the originals of ALL the documents that you used in your application. Nothing like secret verification. You will need to sign some forms as well, that they have conducted the verification process.
