passport error help needed urgently

I have some query to put for all of u.I hope i will get favourable reply.

Passport office has issued my passport in 2001.At that time the passport was mainly handwritten.

They have put my surname properly.But in Given name section they have written my father name first and then my name.

If i get visa and in If they write my given name as my first name and then my father name will it create any problem during immigration at airport.As I am already sumitted my passport for visa stamping. first I thought it was minor mistake but now i am really worried and dont come to the conclusion wht to do at this stage

I have correctly written my name in the pr application not like passport

I hope some one reply to this along with some comments from seniors.

Not sure about this one - sometimes names aren't written on visas - which country is the visa for. I take it you have an Indian passport? Did you submit the documents personally and if so, did they check them at the counter?

I am not an expert but I think you have to get a new passport.

I would think so assuming the immigration officer is scrutinizing closely.
I also believe you can get a new passport(tatkal) urgently and extend your visa on that new passport. You will be carrying two passports then. Old passport carrying your visa. And new passport carrying your identity. You are better off going to passport office and verifying all this information. Good luck.

But i have already submitted my passport for visa stamping.Anyone one who get permanent resident visa of canada and face this problem plz help with your comments

Why not just use the names as written in your passport?

It need make no difference to how you are called

As your passport is an official verified document, the Visa application people will just assume that the name on your passport is your proper legal name. They won't know that the given name is in fact your fathers.

I think they would however, expect the name on the visa application form (and any other proofs of ID you may have submitted)to exactly match the name on the passport and they will probably reject the application if they notice.

If they did issue the visa then I don't think you would get any problems at immigration as they normally don't ask for any further proof of ID.

However, if you travel a lot or especially if you are migrating, I do think that at some point the fact that your passport name doesn't match your name on all your other official documents could well cause you serious problems, and if you could get your passport amended now, it could save you a great deal of hassle down the road.

But i have already submitted my passport for visa stamping.If i get me visa as per the name mentioned on the passport.Can i prepare my permament resident card health card and other documents correctly or will it be as per my visa

As you know if i change my passport.But the visa will be affixed on my old passport. There is one confirmation of permanent resident form that comes with the visa .

I really dont know wht to do at this stage

I suppose all you can do at the moment is wait and see what happens with your current visa application.

If they do refuse it probably makes your next step much clearer.
