Outbound ticket

I am an Ozzie & will be arriving in India this July with a six month tourist visa. My travel plan for India is fairly open, depending on money, health and some other factors. As such, I am not exactly sure where or when my exit point from India will be.....I plan to buy my outbound ticket somewhere in India when I consolidate my travel plans. Am I likely to have problems with Indian Immigration when I arrive without an outbound air ticket? Thanks for any info about your experiences or other sources of information.
Johnno.

1) since the outsourcing of visas to a private company in Sydney, you may or may not have problems - it is up to the company. My travel agent has nothing but scorn for the way they handle requests.

2) in the past, as long as you had sufficient funds to support yourself while in India there was generally no questions asked.

Good luck.

Cheers
