one year visa

Well I see some countries still issue a one year multi-entry visa! Like Kuwait for example. So can I travel here rather than go to India on a 6 month then go on a 'visa run'?

Egypt also does this.....

Anyone know which other countries will issue a one year?

Cheers

No... the visa type you get will be determined by your nationality, not the country you get it in.

Nice try

If you visit India, then you have to take the visit to travel in India.

At the end of 6 months, travel to Nepal or Srilanka, and get another Visa to visit India. That's what most tourists do.

Do you think it would be best to renew my visa a month before it expires? Atleast if they refuse me. I can get my stuff back!

Does anyone know how I can obtain a visa application form from the Indian Embassy in Nepal. Do I have to e-mail them?

Cheers

Not if he is there to get a visa... why else would he want a visa application from this particular embassy.

An extensive collection of Indian Visa Application forms from around the world, maybe?

Someone posted on holidaytruths that he was recently granted a one year tourist visa.

They will issue if you request it....so he said? Has anyone experienced or heard of this?

Americans get one-year multiple entry tourist visas pretty routinely. But you can still only remain in India for a max of 180 on a given stay; you have to leave the country before the 180 days elapses and return later. If you get the one year visa, you don't need a new one to return, but you still have to leave. It just means you can leave and return with very little turn-around time - no application and delay while waiting for the new visa to be issued.

Yes I'm well aware of the 180 day rule but I would rather leave India and visit Sri Lanka before returing then stay in Sri Lanka getting a new visa and spend a week in a que and waiting you see.

I heard this person applied for a 1 year x visa so they offered her a 1 year toursit visa. A one year is given if requested as they have the authority to do so. So I hear anyway! Just wanted to know if anyone has experience this.
