One way ticket OK?
I'm told by the airlines in Canada that a return ticket is mandatory. BUT I've had one ways twice now and not a problem. BUT they CAN, I'm told, send me back without a return ticket! Anyone have anything on this issue? Many thanks.

I have never been asked ,when landing in India ,for proof of onward travel or a return ticket ,they are not interested . A valid visa on the other hand is a must ,It is unlikely you will be allowed to fly without one

Thanks Freenote. I've also not had a problem with two one way entries. But was wondering if things were tightening up the way the agent was talking.
I should add that I CAN buy a one way but I have to give the agent a letter excusing him from any responsibility IF I get tossed. |

I argued this point with a member here a while back until he pointed me to his national High Commission site --- which said that proof of onward travel was a requirement for the visa. I think this was Australia.
You should check you local embassy/High Commission requirements. All I can say is that I never been asked, or heard of anyone being asked, for flight tickets when entering India. |
