Hi Everyone,
The HCILondon website says that they need 4 photographs of size 35mm by 35mm. However, after completing the online process, the printed version of OCI Form, states a photograph dimension of 51mm by 51mm. Which size should I use? Thanks, |

35mm x 51mm of course!
![]() Seriously, the only small photographs that every applicant is going to have easy access to is the standard passport size photos out of photo booths, and I find it hard (though not impossible) to imagine that even a bureaucracy like the HCI would refuse those.

i submitted with passport photos as i was too busy trying to get all the important docs in order rather then detailed sizing of photos! i hope they don't reject my application on that basis!

http://passport.gov.in/oci/Photo-Spec-FINAL.pdf They are extremely picky about photos, so I made sure mine conformed to the exact specifications there on page 1 and 2: Quote:
Bottom line - I had no trouble with my OCI. I went with the Indian govt site's info because i figured the processing was going to take place both in India and abroad, and in my experience with US consulates, they have been much less nitpicky than Indian babucrats. |

In India, one needs passport size photos for everything - I had my photo taken with a digital camera with a white wall background - I copied about 10 of them on a full page of photo paper and cut them whenever I need one - works like a charm.

... the Indian photo labs/studios also give you your pic on a CD, from which you can have further supplies printed as and when.

I'm with you on this one, I like getting things done the first time. One more question, when you sign PART B of the OCI application, you have to sign and date it. But what about the question about "place" - do I just put my home address? |

Tarlochan - I put in my home address for "Place". Maybe a generic "London" as nycank said would be better
Good luck with the babucrats Trying one's best to follow all instructions to the letter is hard when the instructions are poorly worded, not to mention inconsistent. |
