Obtaining a visa (in Ireland)

I'm heading to India in September for about 5 months, during my time there I'll be taking about a month out and going to Nepal.

My questions are;

Do I need a multiple entry visa ?

How long roughly does it take to process ? I'm going for 5 months as I said and I know I can only get a visa for 6 months and the time starts ticking on it from the time I get it.

Does anyone know the easiest way to apply for one in Ireland ?

Does anyone know the e-mail address for the Indian embassy in Ireland ?

I've been trying to get through to the embassy here but my mails keep getting sent back so obviously the e-mail address is incorrect,

Thanks in advance

Yes you will need a multiple entry visa if you plan to Visit nepal then return to India!
If your from Ireland then it shouldn't take more than a day or two if you apply in person by post allow at least a week!
Phone them for exact waiting times!!

For the address of the Indian embassy in Ireland try my webpage here!!!

Indian Embassy Dublin

The E-mail is as follows

EOIDUBLIN@INDIGO.IE

Let me know if this is the correct E-mail as it's a srange looking address!

Happy Traveling

The standard six-month tourist visa is multiple entry. It should only take a day to process if you go to the consulate in person, a week or so if you do it by mail.

Not everywhere merchant the old single entry still linger in some embassies better to read the form and ask about the multiple entry visa!
As for waiting time, here in the Netherlands sometimes it's a day sometimes you have to come back to followind day, depends if they are busy!!

Thanks for the advice guys. Yeah, Cyberhippie that's the address I tried and my mail keeps getting bounced back, hopefully there's some Irish people who've had this problem and can give me some advice I did look up another thread with people in Ireland having a bit of trouble getting their visas but the thread kind of fizzled out and I never found out what happened, sure I'll keep looking, I can phone the embassy and try and talk to someone about it

Thanks Cyberhippie, I tried the original address in lower case but it didn't work, bounced back again, the other address seemed to work though so we'll see what happens.

The embassy got back to me with my application form which is great, I was just looking at it last night and the only question that's bugging me is the one asking what type of visa do you want, single, double or multiple ? I will be going to Nepal for a bit so I put down I'd need a multiple visa, then it says you have to provide documentary support. Does anyone know what this means ? I won't have any documentary support cos I'll be bussing it to Nepal and obviously don't have tickets or anything for that.
