New rule about only applying for tourist visas from home country???
Hoping that you incredibly knowledgeable people can clear this up for me ...
I heard a rumour today that there is a new rule which means tourist visas can only be applied for from the applicant's home country. I'm Australian, and I was planning on going to Sri Lanka to apply for a tourist visa next week, before travelling in India for a couple of months. If the rules have changed, it will really screw up my plans. Can anyone shed any light? Thanks Ange |

There are however Embassies in some countries which only process applications from people resident in that country, that is likely the source of this rumour.
