Hello Friends,

I got a Problem in applying the PIO card for my 7 years old daughter. I want your views before proceeding for a PIO card legally.

I am a citizen of India. In 1999, I went to USA on H1B VISA. My daughter is born there in New York in the year 2000. After working there for a year, I lost my Job and came back to India in 2000. My daughter VISA was issued for 5 years (2000-2005). As I lost my Job I went into depression and neglected the following things to do in India.

1) Actually when some one comes from USA on a Visitor Visa for staying for more than 180 days, we have to register that in India- I have not done that for my daughter.
2) After Expiration of my daughters Visa (Got expired in 2005), I have not renewed it. Now she is a illegal immigrant in India.

Now she is 7 years old and now I want to take a PIO card for her.

I know that I have done a big mistake, But all that was done when I was in depression.

What happened is happened. Now I need your views & help me with some good lawyers in Hyderabad who can guide me legally to get the PIO card for my daughter.
