Moving to Chennai, Need Visa Help
Hi Guys, I hope that some one can help me... i know of the different types of Visas available, but I want to know which one to get for my family to live in Chennai.
I am a South African and want to move to India. Now I work from home, so it make it possible for me to do so, I have worked out the financial and location aspects of the move, now it is down to the Visa. I have about 8 - 9 months before I want to move, and I would like to know how do I get around not working for a company if I work from home. Which Visa do I get for that, I am planning to send my daughter to school there, so how do I get around being sent back every 180 days? Please help me, 1) What do I say if I am working from home? 2) Which visa do i get? 3) how do I stay for 1 year at a time or more even when my daughter is in school? 4) HEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!!!!! Are you a Person of Indian Origin or a Non Resident Indian, or none of these? It makes a big difference regarding visas.

I think you will have to give up the self employed lifestyle! A shame perhaps, but I just went through the process of getting an employment visa for India, and there is no way you can get one without a sponsoring Indian company. Have a look at monsterindia.com or naukri.com and see if there are any jobs for you!
