Letters for the Embassy for visit Netherlands

Dear readers,

I just wanted to share something with you guys,

My MIL (Mother-in-law) is coming to Amsterdam and it was not easy to get her here I think a couple of laws are changed big time. In the time (2 years agao) that my wife was living there she could fly up and down. On that time there was no invite letter needed and now it does. even the invite letter needs to have stamps from your local goverment building (Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and then you're siganature needs to be checked if it's your singnature, so a lot of hassle to fill in the forms total 6 forms that needed to be filled in so just to let people know when they are visting freinds, fam in the netherlands beware for problems.

If people need any help with letters to the mebassy just let me know happy to help out.

some info for to go to the embassy

The Documents listed below is what mom needs to carry while she goes for her visa:

Evidence of Status in India, such as individual proof of income-tax payment, form 16A, bank statements, record of ownership of real estate, share / deposit / investments
Overseas medical insurance for 3 months (including date of travel to date of return)
passport + 2 passphoto’s
A letter to the embassy stating purpose of visit
A invitation letter from person in the Netherlands + govermentstamps + signed
Passport copies from people who is inviting people from India (copy from residence permit from NRI staying in the Netherlands
Slaray slips from people in the Netherlands at least 4 months

Pls note as he /she is coming to the Netherlands for the first time she has to go personally for her visa between 09.30am – 10.30am on a working day. He/she might have to attend a interview too. Not to worry as the interview is easy and they will only ask questions on.

1. Why he/she wants to go
2. When he/she wants to go
3. When does he/she come back
4. Why is he/she visiting for 3 months?
5. Who he/she is going to visit etc…

Terry

I just looked at the UK visa conditions they are by and large the same!!
This seems a bit unfair, I get a Indian visa by filling in the forms and presenting my passport!!
Fortress Europe!

One of my friends from India is coming to Finland and when finding out about the visa requirements for Schengen area from different embassies differ, eg for Finland the inviation could be sent even by email. Usually you will find the requirements on embassies web page in India.

An update: My friend submitted the application, was interviewed and the embassy said it would take 7 days to make the decission. If the reply is positive it will take additional 3 days to issue to visa. Not so easy after all.

I was at a travel agents in Delhi last year and listening to a conversation between the owner and another man who I assume was some sort of middle man. Apparently Schengen visas were very easy to get from some embassies but some local staff had been fired in a few as they were taking back handers. He reckoned he still had a contact in the French embassy who could sort them out. Looks like baksheesh works in many places if you know the right people
