Is Mundgod Karnataka a Restricted Area

Hello,

I know for Singaporeans, The Tibetan Colony in Mundgod, Karnataka is a restricted area and they need special permits.

Can anyone tell me if it is a restricted area for Australians.

This is quite urgent.

I kept asking at VFS in Sydney and they kept telling me I dont need one. I tried to call and email the consulate, they hung up on me and didnt reply to my email.

Now I have just found this: http://tibetoffice.com.au/protected-area-permit/

I guess I will have to press on and contact the consulate again on Monday.
