Is it possible to upgrade single entry visa to multiple entry?

Hi

When I send in our visa applications, I checked the box that we need a multiple-entry visa. When I got the passports back from the embassy, I saw we were given single-entry visas.
We are polish citizens, livning in Denmark.

We actually need multiple entry, as our travel itinerary is 3 weeks in South India, a flight to Delhi, and then onwards to Kathmandu. We plan to do a trek of 3 weeks, and need to return to Delhi for our return flight to Europe!
The Kathmandu-Delhi plane is on 1. April, the Delhi-London on 2. April ...

Does it mean that we have to stay overnight in the airport , or is it possible to "upgrade" our visas, either in Nepal or India ???

Not usually possible to change a visa but you can ask them why they didn't give you what you asked for, and explain why you need it.

It may depend on the reciprocal visa relation with Poland (just guessing) or it may have just been a nearsighted clerk. In country you could take a shot at a state headquarters FRO. Be charming..
