"From Summer (May) this year, the same company that handles the Visa Application Process for the British High Commission in India - VFS Global - will do the Visa Application Process for us," Acting High Commissioner Asoke Mukerji said.

They do not provide a same-day service here, because they are not decision makers; the decisions are still made by British consular staff. VFS Global just collect the applications, forward them, and pass back the results.

The applicant pays an extra fee to VFS, of course!
