Unless you received a lot of media hype for your felony how will they know what you have done ?
I doubt you are on one of them Government of India blacklists. Besides these blacklists I doubt the embassies have access to any other records. |

You should have no problem with getting a visa to India with a felony. The issue and possible hitch is here on the US side. Do you need to get probation or parole OK to travel out of country? Don't forget to inform them
and get cleared to leave the country. |

Don't have any parole or probation to worry about just a small felony.

The India visa form tween USA and India does not ask any prior felony questions. I also have a felony (3 for that matter) and have not have any problems with getting a passport or India tourist visas. The issue never arose

Don't try coming to Australia, they wont let you enter and send you back on the next flight, strange for a convict colony; one would think they would welcome you with a heart cheer.

And how would Australia know that you have been convicted of a felony?

NEVER tell another government you have a conviction/felony. They do not share lists.. even the Americans and the British.

Just make sure that when you fill in the section on prior convictions it is a clear NO, any deviation just creates all sorts of silliness. Had a friend over from NZ and he went no /yes, well he got bundled up and sent back home. I sometimes forget to answer that question and get a grilling.
