Indian Visa in Spain
Perhaps someone has an answer to this: can a British national apply for a tourist visa for India in Spain? Or will he be asked to go to the UK to obtain one? Also, where in Spain can one apply (apart from Madrid)? Thanks.

I wouldn't think it is a problem.
I am a Swedish national and go to the Indian embassy to get my visa- (tourist visa for India) (I don't need to go to my own country for that) Just give the embassy a call |

Apart from Madrid you can get your visa in the Indian consulate in Barcelona and also in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. I think there is no problem for a british to get the visa in Spain, i any case I will check it and I'll let you know.

Hi again,
I've seen the application form and says: "solicitud de visado para extranjeros que deseen visitar la India", that means more or less: application form for foreigners wishing to visit India. You also need 3 pics and 50 euros |

I can only speak for myself-
Swedish passport but I have my residence permit in Madrid. There is no problem for me getting my visa from the Indian embassy in Madrid. It will take about 5 days and costs about €50 -(6months) If you do not have a residence / or a Nie number in Spain, then it will take much longer time, because then they have to contact the bristish authorities . |

Unless you have Spanish residency, you will need to go through Madrid.

Thanks
I went to their official site and yes, it seems a British national can obtain a visa for India - but only at their Madrid office. The cost goes up by 20 euoros for the fax, etc. they have to send off to the UK.
Thanks all you helpful folk. |
