Indian Visa from South East Asia

I am travelling to India then flying to Kualar Lumpur then on to Borneo, Cambodia and Vietnam, has anyone had any experience in getting an Indian visa in any of these countries as I want to go back to India to get my flights back after a volunteer project in Andra Pradesh. I followed the website indian consolute UK which said I could get a one year tourist visa, so i booked my tickets for 9 months and have only a 6 month visa as they have stopped administering 1 yr visas and not taken it off the website!

Please help,

Kl has positive reports. But, Singapore and I believe Indonesia will not handle non-residents. Websites are whacked source for info..

I know an elderly couple who said they were treated courteously in KL and got a 6 month tourist, about 3 months ago. Probably your best bet, as we're only hearing maximum 3 months outside of your home country, Good luck!
