Indian Visa from Kathmandu
I have just discovered that it costs SGD$80 to apply for an Indian Tourist Visa here in Singapore. However, just visited the Indian HiCom of Nepal website and the visa fee listed for Tourist Visa is only 2,100 NR. This is equivalent to about SGD$40.
Can someone confirmed if this is indeed the case- 2,100 NR to get an Indian Tourist Visa in Kathmandu? How long does it take to have the visa issued? A related question is that can I go on a trek without my passport ie leaving it to be processed by the Indian Embassy? Thanks |

US price for a 6-month, multiple-entry visa is US$60. Have no idea how that compares to prices in either Nepal or Singapore.
When you get your visa in a country other than your own, the consulate/high commission will contact your own country, so it could take a week to get an Indian visa.
