Indian Visa for Chinese citizens in China

How easy it is to get an Indian visa for Chinese citizens in China? My university in the US has a number of Chinese undergraduate exchange students (business majors) and I am encouraging them to visit India and read the Indian business press. One of them asked me how they would get an Indian visa (presumably in China) and I of course turned to IndiaMike

Turning to the website of the Indian Embassy in Beijing would have provided you with the information you need.

It appears that Chinese citizens cannot apply for Indian visas by mail in China (US citizens can apply for Indian visas by mail in US). Are there local courier service agencies or does it require an in-person visit?
